Gainsborough Rotary Club Pedal Car Grand Prix

We recently entered a team for the annual Pedal Car Grand Prix - organised by the Rotary Club of Gainsborough, it's the second year we have entered this event providing valuable charitable donations to local charities Whilst the weather was on our side , unfortunately youth and fitness weren't ! Our team was a good mixture of both young and not so young..with the latter struggling somewhat with the fast pace of the racing meaning us finishing joint 5th out of eleven teams entered. All in all an enjoyable family day... roll on next year!

Air Ambulance Donation

Following our Annual Charity football match earlier this year we had the opportunity to present half of the money(£683.00) raised to the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Crew. On hearing what the crew had attended to that day alone drives home the importance of donations like these to ensure the excellent service provided by the whole team is sustained.

A good amount of money was raised for the two chosen charities - Macmillan Cancer Support and The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance - both of which will receive donations of £683.00 - raised from team entry fees and a very successful raffle consisting of some very generous donations from local businesses and friends and families. St Francis School Bowling Challenge

Recently the students of St Francis school challenged Brook and Mayo to a bowling night. We obviously accepted! St Francis School is a very special school for young people between the ages of three and nineteen years with a wide range of physical conditions, including those with associated sensory or cognitive difficulties. The evening was full of laughter and enjoyed by all. We would like to thank the students and staff for attending our sponsored night and we look forward to a rematch!

Charity Football Match

B&M V Lindum Brook and Mayo electrician, Kristian Berzins, organised a charity football match with our neighbours Lindum BMS. We managed to raise a resounding £767.00 for the Wish Upon a Star foundation. But more importantly despite the rain and a good old fight from the Lindum team, Brook and Mayo walked (in some cases limped) away with an outstanding 3 - 0 win. Well done guys and anyone else wanting to challenge our team for charity please do get in touch : info@brookandmayo.co.uk
